The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley

Well where to start on this book!

absolutely in love with this book and the whole series of them, book 4 The Pearl Sister is due for release in the uk on the 2nd November 2017 and i can’t wait!

This is the beginnings of a series of 7 books and what a start it is.

This book has excellent historical detail, heart-wrenching romance, mystery and has a time slip element which is engrossing.

I guess a little farfetched as in if things such as this really do happen, but then that is why it is a work of fiction.

I can not recommend this book highly enough and if you loved this book as much as i did you will be a Lucinda Riley fan for life!

As well as the books in this series she has all released a silver charm bracelet and will release the charms to coincide with the books. The money raised goes towards feeding a child for a year.

I don’t want to give to much of the plot away but it all begins when the sisters extremely wealthy father dies and to each of his 6 daughters (yes there are only 6 as far as we know of at the moment!) bequeaths them each a letter containing the coordinates of the birth. He adopted all his daughters from different locations around the world and now he has given them all the knowledge they need if they wish to find out their own history before Papa Salt adopted them.

This book starts with Maia’s story, the first of the sisters to follow her destiny and find out her past.

Brilliant story, brilliant series.

  1. I’ve read the next one in the series, and have the third to read. The second definitely fits perfectly with the first and is just as amazing. Or dare I say it, that bit better?!

    • I agree, the books get better, i loved Star’s story in book 3. Book 4 “The Pearl Sister” gets released on the 2nd November in the UK and i am can’t wait 🙂
Have you read any of her other books? I recommend The Olive Tree, The Italian Girl and The Angel Tree if you haven’t already read them! xx

      • I have all of them on my TBR list already! I seem to bulk buy when I love more than one book of an author.. not good for my bank balance!!

    • I have one I think, and I know I have a couple either on my kindle or a bookcase. I will get round to them eventually!! It seems to be a never ending pile at the moment.

      • Her books are really good, The House at Riverton is probably my favourite one. Give it a go when you get chance and let me know what you think of it. I have got a back log of books to read as there seems to be a lot of good books out and coming out. I dread to think how many I’ve got on my pre orders on amazon!! 🙂 xx

      • I try not to do pre-orders, I’d forget what I’ve got coming and end up buying it again!!! My netgalley shelf is on the verge or virtually exploding and I’ve got no more room for physical books…. Boo….. I’ve just followed you on twitter so feel free to message me through there!!! I rarely get notifications from wordpress so I never know if I’ve got things to reply to!!
